The effectiveness of BJJ was put to the test in the 1990s when Royce Gracie, representing the Gracie family, participated in the early Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) events. His victories against larger and stronger opponents from various martial arts backgrounds showcased the potency of BJJ to the world.

Today, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is not just a martial art but a sport, a method of self-defense, and a way of life for millions across the globe.
